This Saturday our programming mentor will be teaching about the new
programming tools for this year from 1:00 to 4:00 in Room 112. If
you're interested in programming, feel free to attend.
This is the only meeting (outside of the CAD workshop at Santa Clara
University) that we have planned for this weekend.
On Saturday, we will be splitting up into multiple groups to work on different projects. The mentor who was teaching CAD to one group last time is returning to help again. If you want to continue learning CAD, please show up from 2:00 to 5:00.
We won CalGames on Saturday, October 25! After resolving a few issues in the seeding matches, we accepted an invitation to be on the second seed alliance with Team 100 and Team 604. Our alliance progressed to the finals, where we won after winning the tiebreaker third match.
The FRC CalGames competition is coming up on Saturday October 25 at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose CA. Archbishop Mitty High School is located at 5000 Mitty Way in San Jose. The schedule is as follows:
FLL needs some volunteer referees to help out with the local Robotics
tournament. Consider coming for a Sunday afternoon and
seeing the amazing work these robots do!

The FRC CalGames competition is coming up on Saturday October 25 at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose CA. FRC is the High School follow on to FLL. The robots are washing machine sized, fast, and fun.

The team is going to CalGames at Archbishop Mitty High School from October 24th to 25th! CalGames uses the pervious year's challenge for an off-season competition. The set up day is the evening of the 24th and the competition day is the 25th. All returning and new team members are invited to attend CalGames.
Team 971 performed well at the Silicon Valley Regional at San Jose State University. The robot, "Not Me" ranked 12th out of 48 teams and made it all the way to the quarterfinals!
