Championship 2015

Well, the season is officially over and what a season it was.

On to St. Louis!

There was tough competition at the Silicon Valley Regional but we earned a spot to the Championship Event in St. Louis.

Silicon Valley Regional, here we come

Ready to strike

After some modifications, testing and practice we'll be ready for SVR.  We learned some good lessons at the Sacramento regional, we're getting ready to do even better at the Silicon Valley Regional in San Jose.

The Silicon Valley Regional will be on April 2-4 in the Event Center at San Jose State University.  The schedule is the same as our last competition and is as follows:

Getting ready to compete

It is almost time to head off to our first competition of the season.

March 19th-21st is the Sacramento Regional in Davis California. The team is working hard to make all of the last minute adjustments needed to get ready.

The Sacramento Regional is being held in the

It's in the bag!!

A working robot is bagged and waiting for our first competition.

During the final weekend of the build season a dedicated group of 10-20 students plus mentors worked very hard for very long hours to get a working robot to put in the bag on Stop Build Day. Spending so much time together forms strong team bonds and camaraderie - we even learned that there is a place that will deliver fresh baked cookies in the middle of the night!

FRC 2015 Game

2015 Recycle Rush

It's official, the 2015 FRC season has begun. The 2015 game, Recycle Rush, has been released and we will be spending the next six weeks, until February 17th, building a robot to play the game.

We will then compete at the Sacramento Regional in Davis, from March 19th to 21st, and the Silicon Valley Regional, from April 2nd to 4th. The game itself is described on the FIRST game site.

Happy Holidays from FRC Team 971!

Mammoth and the rest of FRC Team 971 would like to wish you Happy Holidays and a great new year (and FRC Season).

The team is getting ready for and looking forward to the new season starting on January 3rd. The lab is being cleaned and there has been some preseason materials testing and tuning of our robot designs in anticipation of the new challenge.

What a blast! MadTown ThrowDown 2014

This year's ThrowDown had some of the most exciting matches in FIRST this year. Thank you RC and team 1323.

We had a great time in Madera at the MadTown ThrowDown.  Thanks to RC and the rest of the crew on team 1323 at Madera High School for hosting such a great event.

Heading to MadTown for a ThrowDown

We're down to the wire preparing our third robot to compete in Madera Nov 7-9. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work. Students worked this summer and fall building another manipulator to play the 2014 FRC game Aerial Assist.

We will be packing up and heading to Madera for the MadTown ThrowDown and can hardly wait.

The event will be held at
